Records with context
Arrest Records is an independent directory of arrest and booking information published by selected county agencies. We focus on names, reported charges and dates, with a link to the source for each record.
What a record means
A booking records a person’s processing into custody. An arrest and a booking can happen at different times. Each record identifies the kind of date supplied by the agency. Neither an arrest nor a booking establishes guilt, and charges may change as a case proceeds.
Where the information comes from
Our source directory lists the agencies selected for the initial collection. A county’s listing describes its coverage and last successful import. Collection availability varies by agency; this directory does not contain every arrest in the United States.
Original wording, visible sources
We retain the source’s name and charge wording. Source record identifiers and dates help distinguish separate bookings. A matching name alone does not establish that two records refer to the same person.
Updates and corrections
Some records include a photo published by the source agency with that same record. Photos are optional, and a record remains available when its photo is missing. Photo corrections can be requested through the same correction process.
We aim to publish updates daily as sources become available. The “last checked” date shows when a record was observed. A current-custody roster may stop showing someone after a release, so a missing listing alone does not tell us the outcome of a case.
For case outcomes, consult the responsible court or agency. If a listing needs to be corrected or removed, use our correction request process.
