Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 24, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Arrest Search (“we,” “us” and “our”) handles information when you visit our website or contact us.
Information we collect
Public records. We collect selected arrest and booking information from official public sources, including names, reported charges, dates, record identifiers, available custody status and photos published with the same record. We also retain source materials and record history to help review accuracy and corrections.
Information you provide. When you submit a correction or removal request, we collect your email address, record reference, request type and explanation, along with its submission time and status. We also receive information you choose to include in other communications. Please do not send identity documents, Social Security numbers or other sensitive personal documents.
Visit information. We and our service providers may receive information such as your IP address, browser and device details, pages requested, search terms and visit times. This information helps deliver the website, diagnose problems and prevent misuse.
How we use information
We use information to operate the directory, display and update public records, retain requests for future handling, protect the website and comply with applicable law. Correction requests and contact details are stored privately and are not published as part of a record.
How we share information
Published records are available to website visitors and may appear in search engines. Service providers may process information on our behalf to operate and support the website. We may also disclose information when required by law or when necessary to protect rights, safety or the security of the service.
We do not sell visitor contact information or share it for targeted advertising.
Cookies and tracking
When enabled, we use Google Analytics to understand visits, traffic sources and which parts of the website people use. Google Analytics uses cookies and receives browser, device and visit information. Our pageview tracking removes search parameters, uses general titles instead of people’s names, and includes public record-page URLs so we can measure visits to each record. We do not send correction-form contents to Analytics, and we disable Google signals and advertising personalization in our tag.
You can manage cookies through your browser settings or use Google’s Analytics opt-out browser add-on. Read how Google uses information from sites that use its services. Ordinary connection and security information may still be processed when you visit the website.
Retention and security
We retain public records, source materials and request history to maintain the directory, review corrections, prevent abuse and meet legal obligations. Retention varies according to the information and its purpose. Removing a record from public view does not automatically delete private source materials or review history. When we hide a record, its photo is also unavailable through this website.
We use safeguards designed to protect information, but no method of storage or transmission is completely secure.
Your choices and requests
You can request a correction or removal through our correction and removal request form. Requests are free. Include the record reference and a brief explanation. We are currently collecting requests for future handling. A confirmation on the site means your request has been saved; it does not mean the record has been changed or removed. We do not send confirmation emails or promise a response or resolution date. Changes on this website do not change the original agency record or copies held by other websites.
Depending on your location and applicable law, you may have rights to access, correct or delete personal information we hold about you. These rights may be subject to exceptions, including those involving public records and legal obligations. We may need to verify a request before acting on it.
Children’s privacy
The website is intended for adults and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information submitted by children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information to us, please contact us so we can review and address it.

Links to agency websites and other external pages are provided for reference. Those websites have their own privacy practices, which are not covered by this policy.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as our practices change. We will post the revised policy here and update the date above. If applicable law requires additional notice, we will provide it.
